Android is the canvas of the personality

Bookmark and Share

This, for many of you, can be repeated. However, I still mention this because of my drive to get Android even more credibility.

One thing that isn't used in a productive way in many of the phone Android users, are customizable multi-page home designs. Although this seems minor, and it is no surprise that Android is rocking at the head with popularity, yet I can not resist driving this point home as critical to a great Android experience.

Make it personal!

After all, the best part about the Android operating system is the "canvas - like" design and flexibility you will get. Each of these 5-7 pages intended to be customized to make your experience easy but functional. I, personally, set each page to a topic such as "music" or "5 things more often use". I do this because it has almost all the thought process to explore my device.

Here is my suggestion for a page...

First, write or keep at the forefront of their thoughts, activities, leisure or 3-5 daily organization tools. Keep it to five or more below because the idea is to keep things simple, but practical for your device.

I will use the topic "most used applications"
At the end, put a "Messaging" icon because so often use Messaging. Place at the bottom because I use my thumb more often to navigate through my phone.
Also, at the bottom, I put my "internet" icon due to its easy access by using my thumb as well as the frequency of their use.
In the Middle I have placed a "widget" is an expanded version of an icon with live updates for my time and climate. Because it is aesthetically more pleasant to the eye, but also because it performs its function of providing time and time place mainly in the middle.
And at the top, place a note taking application that offers quick access to voice memos, notes, writings or reference to previous notes taken.

Obviously this is just one example of my personal use of my Android device, however, the device should resemble something similar if you want it to be fast and easy to use.

As well, to the point that often suggested... "my phone has all those applications, so why do not load me my pages with my favorites?"? If you have an Android device that has only five pages, think if customized 5 all those pages with four or five applications. It is 20-25 applications who have dedicated to a location for quick access! Most people, on average, use only five applications constantly.

Why it is so important to keep your pages simple. It will focus its pages for what uses more and ultimately makes your experience more pleasant.

Evidence comes from simplicity experts

It is no surprise that Android is a powerful system because of these characteristics. Take a look at iOS 5, this is similar to a lot of the functions offered by an Android phone! This so classic how the operating system Android is really useful, but too often ignore us the most important part... the appropriate installation process.

If Apple gets it is simple and, then it must be!

Credit given to experts

Don't get me wrong, I know that each follower close Android is more than willing to disgorge the wide range of much information to a whole range of learning ears (or all ears willing to listen). Although at times, I think that we as experts interested more in emotion and not simplicity.

Therefore, for experts, let's get back to the basics.... help a rookie today and show them how to convert home pages in a rendering engine of lifestyle with functionality intact.
