Overview
The Android Terminal, included with SDK, is composed of an emulator for mobile devices running on the computer. The Emulator allows you to prototype, develop, and test Android applications without using a physical device. The Android SDK can browse folders, file management, runs all the commands of Linux available ADB shell to ask, when they are installed in the Android SDK provides easy access to the adb tool - also provides access to Eclipse or the ADT plugin.

How does an emulator?

Is not compatible with X 86 devices Android
Android Terminal Emulator uses the native development (NDK) Kit to work with the Linux APIs to provide a Linux shell. Unfortunately there currently is no publicly available Android devices that support the x 86 NDK. Therefore, currently Android Terminal Emulator is not available for x 86 Android devices.
Android Terminal Emulator is compiled with support for x 86 devices and, therefore, should be able to run on x 86 devices as soon as x 86 devices that support the NDK available.
